Your pool or spa are not automatically covered under your home insurance policy. You will need to add an endorsement to your home insurance policy.
Coverage
Whether your swimming pool or spa is in-ground, semi in-ground or above ground, the endorsement covers:
- The spa or swimming pool situated outside of your home
- The maintenance equipment
- The patio or deck to which it is affixed and which is not attached to your home
However, the coverage offered may vary from insurer to insurer.
